Since starting their partnership fourteen years ago, Andrew J. Renda Jr. and John S. Voynick Jr. have been approached several times about hiring associates or merging with larger firms, but they have always declined. We've made a conscious decision to remain a small firm so that our clients are assured of getting an experienced trial attorney when they walk in the door." Starting in 1967, when Renda and Voynick played high school basketball together, their lives have paralleled. After law school, each worked for separate firms, providing defense work for corporations in personal injury cases. When they formed their partnership in 1986, they were mutually pleased to switch to the plaintiff perspective.

"I always wanted to do trial work, and I was introduced from the defense perspective," says Voynick. "but I really wanted to represent the little guy."

In 1993, Voynick obtained a $1 million judgment in a wrongful death suit that was listed by the New Jersey Law Journal as one of the top-twenty verdicts in the state. Voynick is on the board of governors of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America-New Jersey, and is an expert witness in legal malpractice cases.

In 2001, Renda obtained a $1.6 million settlement in a personal injury case arising out of a motor vehicle accident. He also serves on the West Essex Chamber of Commerce board of directors, and is a member of New Jersey and Florida bars.

Voynick and Renda are both certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as civil trial attorneys, and have served as Essex County personal injury arbitrators for more than ten years.
